Federal Express Audit

FedEx’s service is so good that it offers a money-back guarantee if your package is even one minute late.  But as good as it is, it is physically impossible for FedEx to deliver every package on time.

If your company ships 97 or more Federal Express packages a week, our EDI pre-audit and remittance preparation service will save you both time and money.

Our audit system interfaces with the FedEx Electronic Invoicing system which is the most up-to-date and accurate information available from FedEx.

What we check...

  • Money back guaranteed service failures (one minute late and you don’t pay!)
  • Declared value anomalies
  • Duplicate invoice and airbills checked against our cumulative history file
  • Miscellaneous charges review (these costs can easily exceed the freight charge...)
  • Dimensional weight calculation errors
  • Incorrect recipient address charges
  • Freight charges (we can re-rate every invoice in search of errors)

...And we can apply your general ledger account codes to every airbill!

How it works...

  • We electronically download your invoices from Federal Express every week and our system thoroughly audits every airbill.
  • We transmit a guaranteed service refund request containing the guaranteed service refund candidates we've identified to FedEx for credit.
  • While we are waiting for a guaranteed service refund request response from FedEx we apply your general ledger account codes to every airbill.
  • Upon receipt of the guaranteed service refund request response from FedEx, your open remittance is updated to reflect the guaranteed service refund approved by FedEx and we create your remittance documentation or transfer file (for our Inquiry System users).
  • We transmit a remittance file to FedEx detailing how your payment is to be applied when it receives your check.
  • All you have to do is write the check to Federal Express for the amount expressed in our remittance instructions and reference our control number.
